Mac Os X never had an option to “cut” files within the finder and everyone kind of missed it, especially the windows users. But Apple has include this option in Lion OS X.
Many of you all have already discovered it and are using it. So let’s see how can you cut & paste in Mac OS X. You can simply copy the file and when pasting just hold the option key and the right click menu options will change from Paste Item to Move Item Here , as show below –
Alternatively, you can also do the Cut & Paste using Keyboard shortcut keys. To copy just press ⌘+c and while pasting press ⌘+option+v keys combination together. The file/item will be cut from the source and will be pasted in the new destination.
