Microsoft PowerToys is a great hit, but it certainly works in Windows XP 32 bit. There were various tool, among with Image Resizer was liked by many users. Since this popular tool gained popularity in no time, Microsoft decided it to carry further. So the tool was rewritten and is provided free of cost at CodePlex.
Image Resizer Powertoy Clone for Windows is available for both 32-bit and 64-bit machines. It works on both Vista and Windows 7. You can also see the source code of this free tool. However, if you are still using 32-bit windows XP the original imageresizer is best for you to download.
Let us now see how it works. Download the latest version of Imageresizer and install. The version for Windows 7 and Windows Vista is around 1.2MB compared to the XP version which was just for 502K.
On successful install, you will see the “Resize Image” (highlighted) option in the right click menu, as shown below.
Now select the size you want the image to resize.
Press OK and see the resized image with be in the same folder, if you have not changed the default settings.
This way of resizing images is quicker and do not have to open another application to resize images. Just a click and its done.
