I was on a Ubuntu box and recently bumped into this weird problem that whenever a wrong command is written in the terminal it gives a long weird error that says –
Sorry, command-not-found has crashed! Please file a bug report at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/command-not-found/+filebug Please include the following information with the report: command-not-found version: 0.2.44
On searching over the google, I found this question on Ubuntu Forum quite helpful and that resolved the issue for me. To solve your issue, simply type the following commands one by one while you are logged in.
export LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 export LANG=en_US.UTF-8 export LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8 locale-gen en_US.UTF-8 sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales
Hope this will help!
